Objective of the project BAPHYS-96 is the creation of a unified scientific and information field in the project-participating institutes on the basis of the distributed network of knowledge bases on fundamental properties of matter and applied nuclear physics providing a way for unified access and data representation on the basis of a WWW-servers' network and relational systems of data bases and knowledge bases in Russian and English languages.
Components of such a unified scientific information field are general- access information servers in the project-participating institutes including both general-purpose scientific and specified nuclear-physics knowledge, reports on experiments, physics centres, collaborations, scientific research fields, bibliographic data, electronic publications, individual data bases of scientists and scientific schools.
